Stir, spoon, scrape - the Silicone Spoonula will get the job done
I love my Silicone Spoonulas. I purchased two of the 12-inch size. They are hefty, strong, and one solid piece so that there are no crevices where food can get stuck. They are so easy to clean. What I like the most about them is that the edges are thin and flexible yet very tough and strong. This makes them the perfect tool for stirring and folding thicker batters or scrambling eggs and removing every bit of food from a bowl or pan.

They're excellent
When I make candy, especially caramel corn and peanut brittle, whose temperature reaches 290 degrees F, these silicone spoonulas are invaluable. I can easily stir, shape, and smooth out my candy without worrying about sticking. These can withstand the very high temperatures involved. Plus, they clean up easily.

Favorite Kitchen Utensil
My favorite spatula! I grab for the mini spatula more than anything else. I have both mini and larger size. The larger one is a bit heavy so I usually prefer the mini. If the mini had a longer handled version, it would be perfect. Don't ever discontinue!

It's a little bit too heavy, but works well otherwise.

Didn't think I needed it
I ordered one of these along with some spatulas and a bunch of other stuff. I am now ordering more of them, because it's the first thing I grab for stirring, blending, or getting things out of a pot. It's the only dishwasher safe thing that gets cleaned multiple times before I run the dishwasher. Perfect so far.

By far the best utensil for use in the kitchen.
Spoonula/spatula, whatever you want to call it….it is by far the best utensil for use in the kitchen! Most people don’t consider using a spatula for anything other than batters or dough. I use it for everything & prefer it over any other wooden, silicone or plastic cooking utensil I have. It is the right balance of flexible & rigid, length & width, and the best edge you’ll ever come across which comes to a nice thin pliable yet resistant outer edge, nothing like the typical fatter edged products which are useless. Most importantly it is high heat tolerant without the usual poisons found in all the other “spatulas” out there, of which I’ve stopped using as I’ve discovered this “Spoonula” to be such a pleasure to use. I’ve given many as gifts turning other people on to a true quality kitchen utensil.

Why did you choose this?

Already have one and I love it!

I am replacing black plastic utensils and I know that Thermoworks makes quality products.

Love the versatility of a spoonula and the durability of silicone utensils.

Those that my wife buys at Dollar Store are disintegrating. Y’all make great stuff.

How flexible / strong are the spoonula and spatula? Can I stir heavy / stiff batter, lift heavy food items like meat?

They are both flexible and strong. You won't have any trouble stirring stiff batter with the Spoonula and the Spatula can lift meat without a problem.

Does it acquire smells, as one review states? If so, how can the smell be removed? Is it 100% silicone that can be baked to remove the smell?

While our customers have not contacted us and complained about the spatulas retaining smells, if it happens to you, you could certainly bake the spatulas as a solution, as Wirecutter recommends this as a method for removing smells from any silicone product (such as travel mug seals, ice trays, and Instant Pot gaskets). Wirecutter recommends that you bake the items at 250ˆF for 20-40 minutes.

Our Hi-Temp Silicone Spatulas are heat resistant to 600°F and are all silicone with the exception of the metal core that helps them hold their shape.

How much volume does the "cup" of the spoonula hold?

The Spoonula is not designed to be a volume measuring device. Instead, its cupped shape, along with its spatula edge, makes it easier to move certain types of foods from one container to another.

For instance, the Spoonula's shape is very helpful when moving cake batter from a bowl into a cake pan, because you can scoop the batter and clean the edges of the bowl with the same tool.

Is the entire instrument made from BPA-Free Stain Resistant Silicone, or is it only the head (i.e. is the handle made from a different grade of silicone?)?

It is all made from BPA-Free Stain Resistant Silicon.

Is Thermaworks making a spoonula the size of your small spatula?

We are always looking to make the next thing, keep an eye on our emails for any announcements. In the meantime, we do have our Mini Spatula/Spoonula set for a smaller spoonula option. https://www.thermoworks.com/mini-spatula-set/

is this price for one or more than one?

Hi Paul,

The price listed on this page is for one of the Hi-Temp Silicone Spoonulas.

If you have any further questions or need help finding the best products for you, please feel free to give us a call. We can be reached at 800.393.6434. We are happy to help.

What is the width of spoonula?

It is 2-1/2 inches wide at the widest point.

How long is this spoonula?  I’m looking for one about 10”.  I have the 8” set and use them all the time.
