Works Well and Easy to Use
It's dead easy to use, accurate, and well built. It does its job, does it well, and gets out of the way. What is particularly important to me is the features it lacks. I don't have to link an app, and I don't have to learn an overcomplicated UI. It's just a good, solid thermometer. Nothing more, nothing less. I wish more technology was like this. Kudos to everyone who worked on it, from the engineers to the designers and managers. I love this little box.

Best Thermometer for Monitoring Oven Temps I've Ever Had!
Love the versatility and ease of use. Great for monitoring oven and food temps at same time. Long cord allows monitor to be placed away from oven. Magnets on back so can mount on metal surface or set in counter. Sleek design, easy to read, durable. Best thermometer for checking oven temps I've ever had!

Allowed Me To Bake Again With Confidence
Forever thankful I found the Square Dot. It never leaves my oven (which I now know swings 60 degrees each heating cycle during a bake!) With such a big temp swing it makes a huge difference whether I put something in when the oven is at its highest versus its lowest point. I've owned my Square Dot over a year since I started using this new oven and only had one battery change. Its cord is in pristine condition even though it is always in the oven door. And the grate has worked perfectly for me even though my racks are wide. It never moves. The secret is to insert the probe first and widen the clip wider than the rack space it will go between. It will maintain that shape. No need to squeeze, just insert the clip ends in the space, lower the flared ends beneath the rack grate and pull the probe end of the clip up. I love this tool. With the oven I have, my baking literally depends on it!

ThermoWork Pens and Dot for Life
Ever since I found out about ThermoWorks products, thru America s Test Kitchen, I bought them as gifts for the enthusiastic cooks in my family. its quality food thermometers you can t find anywhere else, or comparable to. Crae for them and keep them calibrated and they will last a very looong time. I have the first one I ever bought (Thermo Pen) and still runs great!

Awesome thermometer once you figure out how to use it
Bought the Square DOT, based on ATK review, to calibrate my electric wall oven. It did a great job, revealing that my oven temperature averaged 35 degrees high. Instructions could be better.

Another two cents
Just going to add my voice to all the others who love this product but hate the cheap, poorly designed oven rack clip we're supposed to mount this thing on. I came up with the idea of inserting the probe and stretching the clip all by myself - did not work. The video link provided doesn't provide any help either. You know those little metal clips some coffee companies provide with their coffee bags to help keep your opened coffee fresh? Well, I knew those would come in handy for something. Two of those are now securing that lousy clip to my oven wrack. Other than that, I've found it pretty easy to figure out and use and looking forward to finally finding out how accurate my oven is (or isn't) after having had the darn thing since Christmas before figuring out how to actually make it usable.
