HygroBug™ Temperature & Humidity Meter

Well made, well written instructions, clearly this company prides itself on development and implementation, rare to find anymore. I've been using it to adjust the humidity in our house and it has been very accurate based off of another hygrometer in the house and the settings on the humidifier.

It does what it's supposed to do.

I'm in love with the form factor, but it's not the product the description led me to believe, which was that I'd be able to take this with me anywhere and quickly (keyword, quickly) capture the temperature and humidity at my location. In my experience, this device takes an impractically long time for its sensors to reach thermal and humidity equilibrium. I'm talking waiting upwards of 10 minutes to get even just a temperature reading I'd be confident in, vetted by other thermometers, including a ThermaPen and an IR thermometer gun. I really wanted to believe mine was defective, but the ice bath test proved that it was within spec of its design.

My customer service experience, when I called in about this product, on the other hand, was nothing short of amazing. Danielle did everything she could to make sure I walked away a satisfied customer, and she did exactly that.

Works very well. I use this in,my basement to verify dehumidifier works as advertised.

The device gives immediate readings, but I have no idea what the two readings mean. What is the difference between the the max and minimum mean? How can there be a max and minimum reading between the times to it takes to press a button. No idea and the directions give no.definitions. If I leave it on it then gives different reading...much higher than the first wo max/min by as much as 10 degrees max temp and varying humidity reading.of 30 percent.
So very confusing to the point I question it's use.

A good tool. I use it as a reference for the small less accurate hydrometers used in curing jarred produce.

I use it to check the cheap ones I have. I'm surprised how accurate they are. It's a great tool and worth having if you want to measure your heating & AC.
