Perfect for food service, production and lab work. We based this handy pocket unit on our popular Thermapen shape. Push one button to read infrared. Push another to read the probe. You won’t have to train anybody on the buttons, everybody gets it. The 5:1 optics easily beat the 1:1 competition. The pointed penetration probe folds into the side of the meter for storage. The type K thermocouple gives speedy results.

The simple mode button will easily switch between Max, Min, and °C/°F. The default emissivity setting of 0.95 covers most applications but you can readily change the emissivity by 0.01 increments so you can read virtually any material’s surface. This is a terrific value and it’s fun to use! Scan for immediate surface temperatures or fold-out the probe and get an accurate internal temperature in seconds. (Not as fast as the ThermoWorks Super-Fast Thermapens. The Combo Thermometer will typically reach within 1° of a final temperature in ice water within 8 to 10 seconds which is still much faster than most pocket thermometers on the market.)
