This English made professional thermometer uses a platinum RTD sensor which is more accurate then its thermocouple counterpart. Permanently attached to this compact, palm-sized unit is a pointed, general-purpose probe that has been calibrated with the meter for the best "system accuracy." The Thermamite 1 is great for applications where you might trade a little speed for accuracy. This unit is so easy to use; simply switch the meter on and apply the probe to the medium you are temping and read the temperature on the large digital display found on larger handheld units.
